Poem: Running To Nowhere

Tonight I pay the price
of decades of decadence
though my sin was thin
just ate too great

So now I run to nowhere
run round and round the gym ground
running where I swear
but I can’t reject my neglect

How does it sound, to run around
exercise ending never, sending
me in loops until I am pooped
my mistakes sweat in my face.
